Here is a list of information you might find useful for your stay in Verona.

  • For some attractions, on the first Sunday of the month, October through May, admission is reduced to euro 1.00.
  • Admission is free for children up to age 7 when accompanied by an adult, when not specified.
  • The VeronaCard allows only one admission to each visitable site.
  • Opening hours of visitable sites, especially the Arena and churches, may vary due to performances, celebrations, special events and holidays.
  • Ticket offices close earlier than the indicated visiting hours.
  • VeronaCard cards are not refundable in the event of closures or changes in visiting hours for affiliated sites, such as strikes, holidays or other circumstances beyond the control of the organizers.

What to see for free with Verona Card?

The Verona Card allows free admission to more than 20 museums, monuments and places of interest, as well as free transportation on Verona’s ATV line buses. The free-fare attractions are the Arena Amphitheater, Maffeian Lapidary Museum, Castelvecchio Museum, Cathedral-Dome Complex, Archaeological Museum at the Roman Theater, Basilica of St. Anastasia, Lamberti Tower, Achille Forti Gallery of Modern Art, Arche Scaligere, Juliet’s House, Museum of Natural History, Church of San Fermo Maggiore, Museum of Frescoes, Basilica of San Zeno, MusALab and Eataly Art House.

How do you use the Verona Card?

After purchasing the Verona Card, you will be able to activate it for free when you first use it. The tourist card will be valid for 24 or 48 hours, depending on the duration chosen at the time of purchase. The Verona Card tourist pass gives you free access to more than 20 museums, attractions and places of interest and to all buses on the ATV line.

How much does the Verona card cost?

The Verona Card is priced differently depending on its duration: the 24-hour one costs €27, while the 48-hour one costs a total of €32. The rates are for everyone over the age of 14. To purchase the Verona card, click here.

Where can you buy the Verona card?

The card is available for purchase at several points: at the IAT Verona Tourist Office in Via Leoncino 61 – Piazza Brà (Palazzo Barbieri), at museums and monuments (with the exception of the Torre dei Lamberti, Museo Lapidario Maffeiano, Arche Scaligere and Casa di Giulietta), in historic churches, at authorized tobacconists and at the Verona Porta Nuova train station (currency exchange office, Maccorp Italiana Spa – Forexchange). In addition, it is possible to purchase the card online (with physical card pickup at the Verona Tourist Office) or through the Mida Ticket circuit (with physical card pickup at one of Verona’s Civic Museums). To avoid the possible queue that may form at the ticket office (especially during peak season), online purchase is always recommended.
